Salary Range:$50,000.00 To 55,000.00 Annually
Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, duties for the Head Men’s Soccer Coach will consist of managing and coaching the soccer program, including, recruiting and advising athletes, public relations, fundraising and other responsibilities within the boundaries of the rules and regulations of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, the National Junior College Athletic Association and Dodge City Community College.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~ Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.
- Knowledge of soccer to lead and develop the soccer program.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Direct practice games.
- Schedule all games and scrimmages.
- Advise and enroll soccer players in classes.
- Knowledge and ability to recruit student athletes in accordance with NJCAA, Jayhawk Conference and College regulations and guidelines.
- Obtain transportation and lodging for games and scrimmages.
- Purchase, inventory and maintain equipment.
- Prepare and maintain soccer budget.
- Aid and supervise work-study students.
- Coordinate soccer fund raising events, through Athletic Director approval.
- Maintain scholarship limitations amounts with student-athletes.
- Establish and maintain off-season program for players according to all NJCAA and KJCCC guidelines.
- Knowledge of resistance and weight training principles, techniques, facilities and equipment.
- Promote the soccer program through involvement within the community and Alumni Booster Association.
- Assist the department with all assigned duties and solicit items for the Alumni Booster Auction.
- Attend all Athletic Department meetings and other College committees as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior collegiate coaching and recruiting experience in the sport
- Knowledge of NJCAA and KJCCC rules and regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to advise and monitor student athletes
- Ability to work with staff members and soccer team members
- Proven ability to work with diverse populations including traditional and non-traditional students
- Valid Kansas driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- College coaching/playing experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
Physical Requirements with or without assistance
- Ability to lift at 50 lbs equipment with or without assistance
- Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel stand, walk and be on your feet for 3 hours a day to demonstrate sport.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time and operate a
- Ability to operate, transport, and set up equipment and technologies.
